How do I frame my art work?

Framing will give your original or print a refined finished look as well as protect it from dust and damage. I recommend setting your artwork off with a 2 to 4-inch border. This is commonly done with a mat, but you can also sandwich it in a double sided glass frame that is larger than the art.

If you are looking for a custom frame, a local frame shop would give you the most selection with high quality finishes. Many home decor and craft stores also carry standard size frames that will fit my artwork.

What is a giclee print?

A giclee print is the reproduction of a work of art that is printed on a special printer using archival (long-lasting) inks and paper. The print shops I use specialize in the detail of this production. You will also want to protect the print from scratches and dust by placing it behind glass as you would an original.
